Job Summary
Sales & Proposals Manager £45,000 - £50,000 (DOE) Bonus 25 Days Annual Leave Car or Car Allowance Pension Healthcare Life Assurance. Location: Coventry My client is a leading supplier of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering Solutions across a range of industries from Engineering, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Rail and Defence. As part of a multi-billion pound organisation this business continues to achieve significant organic growth and as a result of this growth, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Sales & Proposals Manager to manage a multi-million pound department and to provide leadership and support to a team of Sales & Proposals Engineers. The role of the Sales & Proposals Manager will be as follows: 1. Manage a multi-million pound business unit with full budgetary responsibility. 2. Managing the timely output of a significant resource of Sales & Proposals Engineers is a major part of this role. 3. You will be responsible for managing a dynamic and vibrant department with an immense workload therefore managing, coordinating and prioritising busy workloads is key, as well as ensuring the quotes submitted are accurate. 4. You will be responsible for monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) such as Quote Output, Time to Quote and Value of Quotes. 5. Ensure technical accuracy for the department with a smooth hand over to engineering to manage the project post sales. 6. Manage workloads against real-time commercial intelligence in order to maximise their quote conversion and order intake success. 7. Support marketing campaigns & events and account management of selected key accounts (new and existing). 8. To ensure the departments cross selling and upselling to maximise account opportunities. 9. Face to face customer liaison as and when required with 15% travel within the role across the UK. Experience & background: 1. An experienced Sales & Proposals Manager (or similar type role) from within an Engineering environment. 2. Strong people management and leadership skills are paramount. 3. Technical background (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic). 4. Highly organised with strong commercial awareness.
