Technical Writer / Bid Writer - Civil engineering Salary:- £35,000 - £40,000 Basic Package Location:- Coventry Role:- This role is working within a Main contractor supporting their tender team specializing on projects with in the Civil Engineering sector. Projects vary from 1million on specialist sites through to large multi-million pound frameworks across the UK. You need a strong background in Technical / Bid writing not in a Technical Author sense but as the writing function for a bid team. Dealing with various Pre-qualification questionnaires and preparing tendering winning documentation with a team around you collating the required information from across the business. Unlike most bid writer roles you need to have a technical understanding of Civil Engineering and as such need a Civil Engineering qualification. Your writing skills are the key area my client will be looking at so any previous documentation you have written would be a great benefit when it comes to the interview stage. You need to be part of a bid team currently and the ability to both understand and write the technical aspects of a bid. Required Experience:- Previous technical writing experience is expected supported by a track record of handling various tender documents and PQQ's [Pre-qualification Questionnaires].
